About the EJF Foundation
Since 2009, the Ed Friedman Golf Classic and Hilton Head Raffle together have raised over $500,000, which allowed us to establish and make generous grants to the Ed Friedman Patient Assistance Fund at the Lapidus Cancer Institute at Sinai Hospital, and to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. For the past twelve years we have been a leading sponsor of PanCan’s Maryland Purple Stride fundraising event.
About Ed Friedman
EVERYBODY who knew Ed Friedman loved him and loved to be around him. In the prime of his life, he was a partner in the law firm Weinstock, Friedman & Friedman, P.A, a devoted husband to Helen, and proud father of Lanie and Jeremy. The devastating diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer came in 2006 when Ed was only 55 years old. For just over two years he fought with incredible courage and optimism. He died in July 2008.
